Annamaria Scaccia is an artist, award-winning journalist, and one-kidney bodybuilder who has survived both kidney cancer and thyroid cancer by 40 years old. She uses her experiences to support and empower all cancer survivors through creative expression, peer-to-peer advocacy, patient-centered research, educational content, and community building. She serves on the board for the Chromophobe and Oncocytic Tumor Alliance and the Patient and Caregiver Advisory Council for the Kidney Cancer Association, hosts the popular Kidney Cancer Unfiltered podcast, and mentors newly diagnosed patients through Imerman Angels. Outside of advocacy, Annamaria is an editorial director and coffee snob.
