Co-creation of a Shared Decision Making Toolkit
Shared Decision Making is a process often used to describe the ideal process of communication between patient and care team for treatment decision making. But being an active participant in the shared decision making process is a skill.
And the worst time to learn a new skill is under duress.

Goal of the Project:
To co-create a pan-cancer shared decision-making (SDM) toolkit that equips patients and care partners with the knowledge, tools, and structured guidance needed to engage in informed, values-aligned decisions from screening through survivorship
Outcome of the Project:
A comprehensive, equity-centered SDM toolkit — supported by clear educational resources — that improves patient and care partner understanding, strengthens patient–provider collaboration, and enables more informed, personalized, and meaningful healthcare decisions even prior to diagnosis
