Advocate Submissions

Curated Advocate Content

Here we provide an informative and engaging forum about cancer advocacy. This includes patient advocacy, research advocacy, policy advocacy and more, across all types of cancer.

  1. While not as formal as academic publications, posts are expected to be thoughtful, well-written, and of continuing value to the advocacy community.
  2. Submissions should align with our mission of uniting and empowering advocates through pan-cancer collaborations, the sharing of leading practices, and basic and advanced advocacy education.
  3. Submissions will be editorially reviewed for appropriateness and clarity.
  4. Appropriate Topics include:
  • What has worked and has not worked in your advocacy experiences.
  • What you think will give new advocates a head start.
  • Your “big picture” thinking that will help advocacy move forward.
  • The ideas that are percolating in your head that you think others will find interesting and stimulating.

5. Cautions

  • Do not promote (or deride) products or services.
  • Do not use this as a forum for political commentary.

6. Specific guidelines

  • Submissions should generally be 250 – 800 words.
  • Photos and figures are welcomed.
  • A clear, conversational writing style is preferred.
  • If you’d like to get feedback on an idea or a draft, please contact us!
