Curated Advocate Content
Here we provide an informative and engaging forum about cancer advocacy. This includes patient advocacy, research advocacy, policy advocacy and more, across all types of cancer.
- While not as formal as academic publications, posts are expected to be thoughtful, well-written, and of continuing value to the advocacy community.
- Submissions should align with our mission of uniting and empowering advocates through pan-cancer collaborations, the sharing of leading practices, and basic and advanced advocacy education.
- Submissions will be editorially reviewed for appropriateness and clarity.
- Appropriate Topics include:
- What has worked and has not worked in your advocacy experiences.
- What you think will give new advocates a head start.
- Your “big picture” thinking that will help advocacy move forward.
- The ideas that are percolating in your head that you think others will find interesting and stimulating.
5. Cautions
- Do not promote (or deride) products or services.
- Do not use this as a forum for political commentary.
6. Specific guidelines
- Submissions should generally be 250 – 800 words.
- Photos and figures are welcomed.
- A clear, conversational writing style is preferred.
- If you’d like to get feedback on an idea or a draft, please contact us!
